What I'm Listening To!
"No Justice" thriving on country scene

For those of us in the world that are die-hard Texas Country fans, make room in your CD cases (unless, like me, you already have) for one of the latest, greatest Oklahoma imports on the country music scene. And, I'm not talking about the more widely known Oklahoma imports such as Stoney LaRue, Jason Boland, or Cross Canadian Ragweed; although if you are a fan of any or all of these you will definitely appreciate the band I'm about to tell you about.
No Justice, hails from Stillwater, Okla., home of Oklahoma State University, Eskimo Joe's, and some great country music, including all three of the previously named bands. Formed in 2001, with band members: Steve Rice, lead vocals; acoustic guitar; Jerry Payne, guitars; Brandon Jackson, vocals, guitars; Joey Trevino, vocals, bass; and Armando Lopez, drums; No Justice put out their first CD, Far From Everywhere, a few years ago, and their second, a self-titled CD filled with catchy, stay in your mind forever, you'll be singing it all day songs, like track number one: Never Come Back, and track eight: Way Down. These tracks, plus several others will have No Justice stuck in your CD player for a long time to come. I purchased this CD in April and have literally listened to at least one of the songs on it at least once a week since I got it, I know it's sad, but it's just that addicting.
For those of you that aren't Country music fans … I pity you, but seriously give Texas (well, Oklahoma, too) Country or at least, No Justice, a chance … you don't know what you're missing. With a sound that's a mixture of rock, country and a little blues, No Justice is one of those great "composite" bands, that if you're anything like me, will make you stand up and cheer.
If you find some great excitement when you find one of those CDs where you could swear there wasn't a bad song on the CD - Lord knows I do - then this is a CD for you. No Justice, the self-titled CD, is available most places where CDs are sold. And, a bonus for those of us that already are No Justice fans … they have a new "Live at Billy Bob's" CD/DVD that comes out VERY soon.
